flewett: I was born and raised in England but became an American citizen over 40 years ago and am proud of it. I'm passionate about genealogy and family history. Even though I'm retired I returned to work three days a week. My other two days are for research at a nearby Family History Center. Although I am not a member of the LDS Church I do have cousins who are members. I am so grateful for the work the church has done with filming records, indexing, etc., and have a great deal of respect for them in their efforts to preserve the records and documents that we are able to access on film. Not everything is online and for those of us who are serious about our work, obtaining copies of the original records, or at least looking at them, is absolutely necessary.
